Ubiquiti UniFi · Design + Install + Support

Designed into the building.
Not bolted on.

SustainLive plans, installs and supports UniFi networks, security cameras and alarms. We work with your architect from the first drawings, so cabling is concealed in the building fabric and hardware sits discreetly — one platform, one app, everything working together.

What we install

Three systems. One platform.

Everything runs on Ubiquiti UniFi, managed through a single gateway and a single app — no mixed manufacturers, no compatibility headaches.

The kit

Serious hardware, specced to suit

We design with the full Ubiquiti UniFi range — these are a few regulars from recent projects. Finishes and placement are always chosen to suit the property.

UDM-SE

The brain — routing, recording, control

U7-AP

WiFi 7 access points — indoors and out

UVC-G6-Turret

4K cameras with AI detection

UP-Siren-PoE

The alarm — siren, strobe, sensors

Why UniFi

One brain. One app. Everything connected.

Every device connects back to a UniFi gateway — the central brain running your network and your security.

  • UniFi Network. WiFi and wired connections — see every device, set limits, run a separate network for guests.

  • UniFi Protect. Camera footage, alarm sensors and door access, recorded securely at the property with alerts to your phone.

  • Everywhere access. Live feeds, recordings and controls from the UniFi app (iOS/Android) or any browser — at home or away.

  • Room to grow. Start with what you need — extra cameras, sensors or door readers clip into the same system later.

Design principle

Planned in from the first drawings

By working with the architect from the earliest design stages, infrastructure is planned into the building rather than added as an afterthought. Cable routes and equipment positions are coordinated during construction — cabling concealed within the building fabric, hardware placed discreetly.

How we work

From floor plan to handover

A clear programme from the first conversation to a fully commissioned system — with nothing ordered until you’ve signed off the spec.

  1. Step 1

    Proposal & design

Coverage maps from your floor plans, plus a full equipment schedule.

  2. Step 2

    Meeting & sign-off

We walk the spec through with you. Equipment is only ordered after sign-off.

  3. Step 3

    Site survey

On-site with your electrician to confirm cable routes and power.

  4. Step 4

    Installation

Typically two days — first fix and core network, then commissioning.

  5. Step 5

    Handover & support

Training on the UniFi apps, documentation, and a 30-day support period.

The proposal

A specification, not a sales pitch

Before any work begins you receive a complete proposal document — the same rigour we bring to the installation itself.

  • WiFi coverage maps modelled from your floor plans in UniFi Design Center
  • Camera coverage plan field-of-view mapped for entrances and perimeter
  • Schedule of equipment every item listed with product codes and pricing
  • Schedule of works exactly what we do and what your electrician does
  • Programme & payments a day-by-day plan and staged payment timeline

Planning a build, renovation or upgrade?

Send us your floor plans and we’ll come back with WiFi coverage maps, a camera layout and a full equipment schedule — free, and yours to keep.
